The day starts off at the Sant Josep Caves, the main natural attraction of Vall d’Uixó, a spectacular cave system with one of the longest navigable underground rivers in Europe.
Guided tour in boat (approx. 40-45 mins.). On the way we will see galleries with unique karstic formations and enjoy a trip into the bowels of the Earth.
After the caves, we will take a stroll around the historical centre of La Vall d’Uixó. We will follow the Camí de l’Aigua route with its aqueducts and visit the Muslim district.
VALENCIA – VALL D’UIXÓ AND CUEVAS DE SAN JOSÉ
Departure from Valencia, with pick-up at Novotel at Nuevo Centro and Senator Parque Central. Bus ride to Vall Uixó.
The day starts off at the Sant Josep Caves, the main natural attraction of Vall d’Uixó, a spectacular cave system with one of the longest navigable underground rivers in Europe.
Guided tour in boat (approx. 40-45 mins.). On the way we will see galleries with unique karstic formations and enjoy a trip into the bowels of the Earth.
After the caves, we will take a stroll around the historical centre of La Vall d’Uixó. We will follow the Camí de l’Aigua route with its aqueducts and visit the Muslim district.
We will have lunch at a local restaurant to try the traditional “empedrao” dish, typical of La Vall d’Uixó cuisine.
It is considered a local gem and is a part of the culinary identity of the area. “Empedrao” is a rice dish that traditionally combines ingredients such as rice and white beans. Cured salt-cod, pepper, garlic and onion can also be added.
After such an enjoyable day, we will return to Valencia.

Xàtiva
We start out visit in the Historical Centre, with its cobbled streets, plazas and traditional architecture. A lot of the streets are decorated with lights and festive ambience at Christmas, making it perfect for strolling around and taking lots of photos.We will go to Albereda Jaume I, where the Monumental Nativity Scene of Xàtiva is assembled, one of the biggest in Spain, with life-size figures and scenes that we can walk through and contemplate the details. The Traditional Nativity Scene and the Hebrew Nativity Scene are close together and can optionally be visited in San Francesc church.We will walk around the Christmas Market and Fair near the Nativity Scene.
