COTTAGE CHEESE

I discovered it recently and now I can’t get enough of it for dinner. It’s a fresh cow’s milk cheese that’s very high in protein, perfect when I want something light but filling. And for what it offers, it’s surprisingly affordable.
 

 

AVOCADO

I try to eat one a day, although dealing with the stone can be a bit of a faff. Even so, it’s worth it because it’s extremely healthy and full of good fats. It gives me plenty of energy and goes with almost anything. The only downside is the price, which can be a bit steep at times.

 

OATS

I have them for breakfast every morning because they make me feel great and help lower my cholesterol. They’re high in fibre, which keeps me full for hours and stops me snacking between meals. They also support muscle building if you’re training regularly. They’ve become a staple in my kitchen.

 

BASMATI RICE

It goes with everything and makes a great side for meat, fish or salads. I love it because it’s easy to cook and always turns out fluffy and fragrant. When I don’t know what to make for dinner, basmati rice is my go-to. It’s one of those really versatile ingredients.

 

GREEK YOGURT

I love digging my spoon into a one-kilogram tub. It’s almost a ritual. It’s healthy and filling, and you can mix it with fruit, honey or whatever you have to hand. It’s my go-to when I want something creamy and quick. And it tastes great too.
