How to remove yellow stains from stored clothing
Keeping the baby clothes from your first child to use with your second is quite common. The surprise comes when you take it out and, over time, many items have turned yellow even though they were almost new.
Even if the clothes are white, you don’t need to use bleach, since this could ruin your baby’s clothing. There is a homemade remedy to get rid of these yellow stains once and for all:
- Prepare a mixture of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in equal parts. If there are just a few items of clothing, one cup will be enough. Mix thoroughly and spread the mixture on the stained area and leave to activate. However, if you have lots of stained clothing, you can dissolve the vinegar and bicarbonate in the wash basin with hot water so the clothing soaks fully.
- Leave the mixture to activate for an hour, then rinse and wash your baby’s clothing as normal.
