Cherry
Cherries are the fruit obtained from the cherry tree, belonging to the Rosacea family. Cherries are a drupe with almost round stones, with a smooth skin and a colour that encompasses all types of red, from the darkest to the lightest. Their pulp is juicy and, in the ripest fruits, their flavour is very sweet.
There are many cherry varieties, depending on the type of maturation, pollination and flowering. They can be: sweet cherries, acidic cherries or sour cherries and Duke cherries (a hybrid of both).
