What is the difference between bb cream and cc cream?
Discover the differences between a BB Cream and a CC Cream. We tell you about their benefits and characteristics for you to choose the best for you.

What is BB cream and what is it used for?
BB Cream or Blemish Balm Cream is ideal for younger skins, that is, those that need less correction. They are moisturising creams with colour, indicated for young skins that only need slight corrections.
Therefore, their texture is lighter and fluid, so they cover up less. As they provide colour, they help to correct the tone. There are different tones for different types of skin: light, medium and darker. Further, the great majority of them have solar protection filters, normally SPF25, which helps to reduce small skin spots.
Similarly, they make our face glow, leaving the skin with a sensation of youth and freshness.
They work very well on dry skins because they moisturise, they provide colour and they illuminate in one single product.
The revolution of CC cream
When we thought that we already had the perfect product, the CC Creams arrived to flood us in a sea of doubts. In this case, CC Cream or Colour Correcting Cream is a more corrective cream, ideal for those more mature skins that need to correct flaws such as first wrinkles, expression lines, or skin spots, and need medium-high coverage.
This type of moisturising cream moisturises much more, provides colour coverage, and at the same time, it also looks after the skin like the BB Cream, giving that touch of luminosity that makes your skin look younger.
As it has greater coverage than a BB Cream, it is perfect for greasier skins, as it camouflages skin shine, although it is indicated for all types of skins.
They also provide solar protection, and the great majority contain anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing treatments.
How to apply a BB cream and a CC cream?
Both are applied in the same way. After our daily skin cleansing routine, we will apply moisturising serum, and then the BB Cream or CC Cream, depending on the type of our skin.
Regarding how to apply it, we can do this with a brush, sponge or directly with our fingers, depending on the finish we want. The textures of both are so fluid that they are easy to spread on, and they blend with the skin immediately.
For a more even finish with greater coverage, we will apply it with a brush or sponge; on the other hand, if we want a more natural aspect, we can apply it with our fingers, finishing with little dabs to spread it and for it to penetrate our skin well.
