Rosé wines
Rosé wines are among the most popular when it comes to accompanying pizza, perhaps because they are associated with relaxed, informal meals. And although rosé wines can be as complex as any quality white or red, it is true that younger, fresher and fruitier rosés form a perfect tandem with simple pizzas, with cooked ham, mozzarella, mortadella… Who has not associated Lambrusco with pizza? Below are our suggestions:
- Lambrusco Bautista Marti Rosado, comes from Emilia Romagna, sightly frizzante and fruity, a perfect match for pizzas.
- Mateus Rosé, another classic among rosés, light, refreshing and versatile, It is a Portuguese wine that still today paints all corners of the planet with its rosé tone, in a bottle as emblematic as its taste.

Red wines
Red wines are also a great option when we talk about heartier pizzas, stuffed pizzas, with barbecue sauce, with meat, pepperoni, mushrooms…
- Pruno, a Ribera del Duero with 12 months of ageing which clearly expresses its fruity side.
- Vermell (vermell, red in Valencian), produced with Garnacha Tintorera and Mandó in Moixent, D.O. Valencia. It will have matured in 2,600-litre earthenware jars, underground and buried, for 5 months. With this red wine, Celler del Roure, a leading winery in the recovery of forgotten native varieties from eastern Spain, also reflects the most ancestral winemaking methods.
