For an efficient and effective clean, you need the right products that will help you to maintain healthy and pleasant surroundings. In this article, we’ll talk about the 10 home cleaning products that are essential in keeping your house clean and tidy.

1. Multipurpose cleaner: can be used to clean different surfaces, like tables, worktops, household appliances and floors. These products are useful for removing dirt, stains and grease from the different surfaces in your home and, in particular, when you don’t have a specific product.
2. Floor cleaner: keeping the floor clean and shiny helps to combat dirt and dust at home, and with it, we keep mites away and combat allergies. That’s why, as well as vacuuming, it is worth mopping the floors at least once a week with a floor cleaner. We recommend choosing one specifically for stoneware or wooden flooring; and, in the case of the kitchen and bathroom, choose one with bleach and detergent.
3. Degreaser: particularly useful for deep cleaning the kitchen, especially the extractor fan and worktops. Although there are often specific products that can be used, your usual washing-up liquid normally has degreasing power, particularly in the more concentrated versions. 
4. Bathroom cleaner: bathrooms are a critical area of the home that require special cleaning. Bathroom cleaners are specific products for removing dirt, stains and limescale from the shower, bathtub, sink and toilet. In addition, some bathroom cleaners also contain disinfectants to kill germs and bacteria.
5. Disinfectant: used to kill germs and bacteria on your home’s surfaces. Using disinfectant is particularly important on areas where food is prepared, like the kitchen, and on surfaces that come into contact with your hands, like door handles or light switches.
6. Clothes detergent: washes clothing and removes dirt, stains and odours. There are different types of clothes detergents, including liquid, powder and capsules, which are designed for different types of fabrics and washing needs. Normally, people have a specific one for white clothing, another for coloured clothing and a detergent or specific soap for hand washing items. 
7. Mop and microfibre cloths: microfibre has excellent absorption power, and helps to spread the product you are using throughout the entire surface to be cleaned. 
8. Broom and/or vacuum cleaner: if you want your floor to be spotless, you must have these cleaning utensils. Broom or brush and pan, plus a vacuum cleaner, are basic items in any home and even more so with children and pets. Choose good quality ones so you can get rid of dirt and dust from the floors of your home.
9. Gloves: cleaning gloves protect your skin from the chemicals in cleaning products and, of course, from direct contact with bacteria and germs. They are particularly recommended for handling products like bleach, ammonia or any insecticides.
10. Clothes brush: although it may not seem like an essential utensil for the home, if you have a difficult stain or trainers that are dirtier than normal, you will need it.  Plus, these brushes, which are usually made of plastic and have hard bristles, can be used to clean surfaces or resistant fabrics.
