Mainly because of its organoleptic properties, that is, its aroma and flavour. Also because it is cardio protective. It is a very stable fat for cooking and therefore very good for health because it doesn’t go off. A drizzle of good olive oil will elevate any dish.ANCHOVIESAnchovies are spectacular on their own or on a toast with tomato. An aperitif that gets you off the hook at any get-together. I sometimes add them to a sauce like a putanesca. Pure umami. On top of that, they have omega 3, which is anti-inflammatory, among many other things.PISTACHIOSThey drive me crazy. They are very nutritious and are the perfect snack. They reduce stress, which is always a good thing, and are antioxidants. They are also one of the nuts with the most fibre and energy, and the lowest calorie content. Almost perfect!TOMATOThere are always some at home, particularly in the summer. In winter, we look for varieties with flavour, such as cherry or raf. The trick is to keep them out of the fridge for them to be really tasty. We eat them by the kilo!LEGUMESI love soups and stews because they are comforting, they make you feel homely. Legumes are economical and high in plant protein, which makes them more sustainable, nourishing and very rich in fibre.

There is also a certain ritual around that moment of relaxation, of stopping to have a coffee, which makes me feel at home and calm.GAZPACHOIt’s not that I’m a bad cook, it’s that I lack the patience needed to dedicate time to cooking. She's worked on TV series like Pulseras rojas, Seis hermanas or Amar es para siempre and has taken part in the third edition of Tu cara me suena. She has also collaborated in the media and on programmes like Zapeando. Here are her “Top 5”:FRUITMy mother always used to say that, if she didn't have a full fruit bowl, it was like having empty cupboards. I think the same as her, and I get the impression that my son is going to be exactly the same. He’s always asked for fruit as soon as he gets home, from being young. But, above all, I think you have to eat seasonal fruit. Eating watermelons at Christmas... I don’t think so. And if it's locally produced, even better.YOGHURTSI love any flavour, or natural sugar-free yoghurts. I eat them as a dessert or snack. My favourite snack is placing fruit in the blender with a nice natural yoghurt. And when they expire, I use them to make sponge cakes, and I’m still alive. Long live yoghurt!CHEESEI don’t think I could live in a world where cheese hadn’t been invented. When I travel, I love trying local cheeses. I like all varieties, especially those from the Balearic islands, of which there are many and they are delicious. I'm also one of those strange people who enjoy a good cheese from Burgos or a soft, fresh cheese from anywhere.... Or cottage cheese. In salad or on pizza it’s super tasty.SOBRASADA MALLORCAN SAUSAGEAs any good Mallorcan woman should, whenever we have guests at home or we get invited to a friend's house, we arrive with a sobrasada at the ready. When we go to Mallorca on holiday, we buy tonnes of it. It makes us feel closer to our island. And if you spread it on nice, warm or freshly baked bread... It brings tears to your eyes.WINEIt pairs with absolutely everything. Luckily, we live in a country with fantastic wineries, wherever you go. And you don’t need to spend a fortune on it like you do abroad.

He combines his work and appearances in the media with his own shows, in which he also works with improvisation and mentalism. Here are his ‘five a day’:BANANASIt’s my favourite fruit. My name is Manzano (‘Apple’), but bananas are the perfect fruit because they come with a wrapper, are easy to open, you don't have to wash them and on top of that they’re delicious – a miracle of nature.MILKThey say in a derogatory way that humans are the only ones who drink milk from other species, but we are also the only ones who know how to make paella or use Wi-Fi. For me, milk is essential to start the day. They say the same about coffee, but until I drink a glass of milk in the morning, I’m not human.NUTSAnother wonder of nature that is always in my shopping bag. On trips, between meals, as a snack, while watching a soccer game... There are so many moments to resort to nuts, and they are almost always fun moments. On top of that, they are healthy and take a long time to go bad.BREADIt goes with everything, whether sweet or savoury – it was a great invention. And when it’s freshly baked, it lets off an aroma that not even the perfumes they advertise on TV with French accents have. Bread is a delicacy within the reach of any social class. Give me bread and call me a fool if you want.OILOil is like a smile, it improves everything. In salads, on ham, for the car... It can even be used to make a lamp, prevent hinges from squeaking and make locks open. Of course, it goes up in price. I have been lucky enough to eat in many excellent restaurants, but if I’m given the choice of one food to eat every day of my life, I choose bread with oil. Nothing else.
