If you are one of those people who finds it hard to be separated from a beer even for a day, we bring you this delicious version of one of the most popular cocktails of the summer with beer as the main ingredient: we are referring to the mojito with beer.

It is very easy to prepare and does not require any special instrument for preparing cocktails. Just gather the ingredients and follow the steps below. What’s more, you can give your personal touch to the combination by choosing one or another beer depending on your taste.

We give you 3 options:

Option 1: if  you don’t want your cocktail to lose too much of its original flavour but want to include your usual beer, choose a lager with moderate alcohol strength (below 6%).

Option 2: if you prefer to enhance the citrus and fruity aromas of your mojito, use an IPA-style beer, making sure that it is not too alcoholic or too toasted.

Option 3: Who said anything about being afraid? If you are one of those people who likes to try everything, surprise everyone and yourself with daring combinations. We invite you to use a dark beer like porter, stout or dunkel. The result won’t leave you indifferent.

Mojito with beer - Ingredients

  1. 1/2 bottle or a 33 cl can of beer of your choice
  2. 15 ml white rum
  3. Some mint leaves
  4. 2 spoonfuls of brown sugar
  5. The juice of half a lime and two slices to decorate
  6. Crushed ice

Preparation

  1. To enhance the aroma of mint, use a spoon to crush the leaves with sugar inside the glass.
  2. Then add the rum and lime juice stirring gently until it is well mixed.
  3. Now add a generous amount of crushed ice and last of all, the chosen beer.
  4. Decorate with a couple of mint leaves and place the lime slices on the edge of the glass, making a slight incision from the edge to the middle of each slice.

Cheers!
