Mopping the floor is the most basic cleaning and disinfection action in your home. Plus, it’s something that is cleaned equally in all houses, but then each home does it in their own way or uses certain products.....but as we often say...”there's more than one way to cook an egg”.
Some people prefer to use water alone, others love to mop the floor with water and vinegar, or water and neutral soap, others with multipurpose disinfectant cleaners, and there are endless ways to clean the floor.

The best perfumed floor cleaners
- Neutral floor cleaners. This is characterised for not containing aggressive or acidic ingredients. This type of soap for cleaning the floor is ideal for any surface, since it doesn’t damage them and can be used on both wooden and stone floors. In addition, it’s also gentler when in contact with the skin and/or airways.
- Perfumed floor cleaners. The difference between the latter and this type of detergent is that these include an added aroma. They are more common in homes given that they offer a fresh and clean feeling, depending on the aroma they contain.
- Disinfectant floor cleaner. This type of floor cleaner contains active agents that help to remove germs and bacteria. They are usually used in schools, hospitals or places with sick people, although the domestic use of this product is becoming more widespread since the Covid-19 pandemic. In principle, they are suitable for all types of floors.
- Wood floor cleaner. They are designed mainly for cleaning wooden floors, guaranteeing their durability and proper maintenance. Made from gentle products that protect wood, without chemical and abrasive concentrates.
- Ammonia-based floor cleaner. Ammonia-based floor cleaners are characterised for their main active ingredient being ammonia, which is a disinfectant and degreasing agent. They can also be used to remove strong and incrusted odours. But you have to take extra care since this product is more aggressive and could damage the floor.
