Makeup for Valentine’s Day
We're bringing you some makeup ideas to surprise your partner on Valentine’s Day. Make heads turn wherever you go. Shall we start then?

Nice face effect makeup
In 2023 the glow effect makeup is still the trend. Juicy and very natural makeup designs are in, but ones that last for hours and hours. So how do we achieve this?
- With a goodskin care routine so that your makeup blends in completely and looks juicy and not at all rigid.
- We need to avoid powder foundation for this type of finish. It’s best to choose a liquid makeup foundation with a thin covering, or a BB Cream.
- The idea behind this type of finish is to use thin layers, and therefore when using a corrector for the bags under your eyes, use one that is slightly opaque. You can also use a corrector with a sponge or a fade brush.
- Go for a pink blusher and use a specific blusher brush to give a little more bloom to your face. Warning! Use the brush to dab it on to your cheeks.
- Use a pale coloured eyeshadow and some mascara to frame your eyes.
- Use some lip gloss instead of matt or long-lasting lipstick.
- Finish of your Valentine's Day glow makeup with a moisturising mist.

Bitten lips effect makeup
If you feel like adding something more daring to your glow or natural look makeup, try the “bitten lips” effect. What does this Valentine's Day makeup effect consist of?
- Choose your favourite red lipstick.
- Wash your hands well and apply the red lipstick to your fingertips. Dab the lipstick on your cheekbones making sure you blend it well. Warning! We are aiming for a natural look here, so you could also blend it in using a blender sponge.
- Take the lipstick and gently dab it on to your lips and then blend the colour in using your finger to fade it out, giving you’ a “bitten lips” look.

Framed eye makeup
If you like wearing makeup, but you are concerned about going over the top, try more subtle tones and a strongly framed cat eye type eyeline. This Valentine's Day makeup is perfect because it can turn the day into night. So if you haven’t got much time, this is the look for you.
- If you have applied pale eyeshadow for your daytime look, you only have to fade in some slightly darker eyeshadow but in the same colour range to the fold of your eye, and another eyeshadow with gold or silver colouring (according to your look) on the moving part of your eyelid and to the inner corner of your eye. Frame it all with a thick, black line using an eyeliner.
- Complete your look with nude tone lipstick or gloss so as not to draw too much attention away from your eyes.

Matt, kiss-proof lips
Red lips are a classic for Valentine's Day makeup, and what's more, they never go out of fashion. This year matte red, well-defined lips are all the rage. How do we get this look?
- Choose a matte red lipstick, either in stick form or a liquid lipstick.
- Line your lips using a corrector, emphasising your Cupid's bow.
- Apply some highlighter to the key zones: Cupid’s bow, the tip of your nose and cheekbones.
- With this look, we advise against a very thick line, and without eye shadow or very pale eye shadow without lining. Tip: This year any shade of pink eye shadow is the fashion.
