5 ideas for festival makeup

Collecting wristbands from different musical festivals has become a new form of tourism among young people and one of the hits over the last few summers. 
Going to festivals is planned months in advance, and right from when we buy the tickets through to the actual date of the event itself, we plan everything in detail for the looks we want to display over those days, our hairstyles and even our makeup and other decorative accessories while we are watching our favourite groups.

Makeup indispensables for going to festivals

• Eye rainbow. Choose three eyeshadow colours, preferably bright colours such as combining green, pink and blue or yellow, orange and green... Apply them to your eyelid without fading, colorblock style to form a type of rainbow. Give a touch of fantasy to your eyes with this festive makeup.

• Smoky eyes. Eyes are once again the star here, and the smoky eyeshadow technique is the trend for yet another season. Be a bit more daring and apply different shades of strong eyeshadow colours like fuchsia, turquoise or different shades of blue all over your eyelid to achieve that smoky eye effect, but with striking colours. Give your eyes a finishing touch by lining the inside of your eyes with some maxi eyelashes.

• Maxi Cat Eye. Black lines are all the rage that never go out of fashion and come back season after season. This is one of the most basic looks to choose when deciding on festival makeup. Using a fine tip eyeliner, we can mark the tip and even the outline before filling it in with a more convenient thicker liner. Furthermore, thousands of different colours are “in” this year: pink, blue or red.

• Shine and creative makeup. Going to a festival without face gems is almost unthinkable nowadays. Face gems and transparent face paint that glows in the dark are the latest trends in festival makeup. From subtle touches with gems above our cheekbones, to authentic mosaics of tiny gems strategically positioned on our faces. We can’t miss out on these accessories to be a hit at any music festival this summer.

• Red lips. Red lips enhance any look to the maximum and are a sure guarantee of success. With red lips we don’t need to worry too much about the rest of our makeup, nude tones, a good highlighter, well defined eyeliner and a touch of blusher on our cheeks should be enough to enhance the redness of our lips.
