3 nail designs for the end of the year
New Year's Eve is always a celebration that we associate with glamour, sparkle and elegance. It is therefore not surprising that you are looking for some original ideas for your New Year's Eve manicure to go with your best looks and New Year's Eve makeup this year. Take note of these 3 trends in nail designs for this New Year's Eve!
1. Ombré manicure
This is a graduated manicure that consists of painting your nails in a base colour and then adding a layer of another colour, but applying it from the middle of the nail to the tips by dabbing it on using a small sponge (similar to a beauty blender sponge) to give it a fading effect ending at the tip of your nails with a completely different colour. New Year's Eve tip: choose the second colour in a metallic shade, or add some glitter.
2. Chrome nails
“Twinkle” is here to stay, but not just with glitter, the current rage is the chrome effect or three-dimensional effect. What is it? It is basically nails with magnetic reflections. This is achieved by painting your nails with a base colour and then sprinkling some powder over to give it some metallic shiny flecks, which can be seen from all angles, and some even change colour!
3. Fantasy manicure
This is a classic every year, consisting of a New Year’s Eve manicure full of details. How do we do it? We use a base colour and then some stickers, 3D format applications, drawings and Christmas nail designs or by sprinkling glitter on for a pure fantasy New Year's Eve manicure.
