How to make homemade soap with children

There are many types of homemade soaps, but how they are manufactured makes some more recommendable than others if we are going to prepare them with the children.

We can make solid or liquid soap, and the main ingredients include glycerine or caustic soda, among others. But, if what we are looking for is a simple, beautiful and safe soap to make with children, read on and we will tell you which is the best option.

How to make handmade glycerine soaps?

To make homemade soap we will need:

Glycerine
Essential oils
Soap dyes
Moulds (we can take advantage of the ones we use to make ice, ice cream or biscuits)
Alcohol in a spray
Plastic toys to hide in soaps (optional)

Take note of the preparation:

Cut the glycerine into small pieces, place it in a microwave-safe container and heat it for a few seconds until it melts, but don’t let it boil. You can also melt it in bain-marie.
Add a few drops of dye and a few drops of essence, and stir well with a stick. Do it quickly because the glycerine cools down quickly.
Pour the mixture into the moulds, spray with alcohol to eliminate bubbles and leave it to solidify for a few hours.
If you want to put a surprise inside the soap, before filling the mould completely, add a small toy and then finish filling with more glycerine.
You can also make different mixtures and create coloured soaps, like a rainbow.
