Glass is a material that can be found everywhere in the house: in the windows, in the doors of the rooms, or in the balcony and terrace doors, in the bathroom screens, in the mirrors... Do you find cleaning them a nightmare because they never look perfect? Do not miss these tricks to clean each type of glass!

Tips to make the most of cleaning glass

If you are going to clean the glass objects in your house, read these recommendations first, they will save you time and effort!

  • The result of cleaning glass objects is much better if they are not directly exposed to the sun. They dry more slowly and less marks are left.

  • Whenever possible, remove the glass from its frame to clean both sides more easily.

  • In the case of windows, include not only the glass but also the frames and supports in the cleaning so that the result is homogeneous.

  • To keep your bathroom screens cleaner, wipe them with a dry cloth after each shower.

After a thorough cleaning, we recommend that you carry out maintenance on your glass objects. Go over them once a week to prevent dirt from building up.

Tips for cleaning each type of glass

  • Glass in the kitchen is where most grease accumulates. To clean it, fill a bowl or container with hot water and add a squirt of ammonia. Wet a cloth, wring it out and rub the glass from the top. Rinse with hot water. Allow to dry and finally wipe with a clean cloth with glass cleaner (applied directly to the cloth and not to the glass).

  • You can clean the rest of the glass in the house (windows, sliding glass doors...) in the same way. If they are very dirty, the first step is to wipe them with a damp cloth to remove as much dust as possible.

  • For bathroom screens, prepare a mixture of lemon and vinegar, and use a non-scratchy sponge to apply it. The combination of these two products is infallible, as it removes limescale residues, disinfects, and cleans in depth. Rinse with a clean cloth and dry gently.

  • For mirror glass or glass that covers furniture, you can use a glass cleaner or vinegar, and apply with a soft cloth.

Spend some time on your glass, you'll notice the difference.
