How to apply makeup to your eyes to make them look bigger

What do you need to apply makeup to your eyes?

How to apply makeup to your eyes to make them look bigger step by step
Corrector
We should use the right one for the bags under our eyes to even out the shade. If we have bluish bags under our eyes, they will be hidden with an orangey shade. If they are purplish or violet, we need to choose a yellowish colour. Olive skins with a yellow look need a lilac colour corrector. White also confers a lot of light to our face, but we need to apply it properly to avoid the wrong effect.
White eyeliner
Using white eyeliner around the waterline which needs to be semi-permanent, and resistant to water, rubbing and sweating to emphasise the outer edge and highlight the separation between upper and lower eyelashes. You can also apply the white eyeliner to the inner corner of your eye to achieve a glow effect.
Pale eyeshadow
to achieve a wider look the best way is to use nude or pink eyeshadow colour tones. To finish with, apply a bright eyeshadow in the middle of your eyelid, the inner corner and under the eyebrow arch. You can also use highlighter on those parts. Another trick is to apply a dark brown shade to the upper fold of the eyelid and then blend it well to achieve depth, by mixing it with an intermediate shade on the moving part of the eyelid and always applying a paler eyeshadow tone to the part closer to the eyebrows as this will confer more light.
Eyeliner
Apply it close to your upper eyelashes. It fills in gaps and frames your look to give it more depth. Apply it level with your lower lashes for a wider look. Another option is the so-called “tightline”, the eyeliner on the upper eyelid that makes the base of your eyelashes look even deeper. It is a wonderful trick for people with small eyelids. There is another option to lengthen the eye, the cat eye, which also opens up your look by elongating and raising the outer corner of your eye, particularly if you do it outwards from the middle of your eye.
Mascara
In addition to mascara, an eyelash curler can be a big help to immediately achieve a big, eyes-wide-open look. Mascara should be applied from the roots to the ends in a zigzag movement. There are mascaras for all tastes: lengthening, thickening, volume, separating... For our lower lashes, we need more definition rather than volume so that they don’t look too artificial. If you have short eyelashes, we recommend you apply mascara horizontally, and at the same time brushing the entire row of lashes to make them as long as possible. If you have long eyelashes, use the brush vertically and only apply the mascara to the roots by gently dabbing it on.
Perfect eyebrows
You might not believe it, but our eyebrows can help to make our eyes look bigger. Keeping them neatly plucked and shaped is essential. Moreover, if you apply makeup to them and define them well, your eyelids will look bigger. Applying a little white/nude eyeshadow or eyeliner just below the arch of your eyebrows will also help.
Other tips to make your eyes look bigger
- Create points of light: to give width and light to your look, we can create points of light in specific areas, such as the inner corner of our eyes and the arch of our eyebrows. You can achieve this effect by using a highlighter or an eyeshadow in lighter colour tones.
