Redcurrant
The currant is the fruit that comes from a wild bush called currant bush, belonging to the saxifragaceae family. They are small round red fruits that grow in clusters and look similar to grapes, but much smaller in size.
Currently we can find 3 different kinds of currants on the market, differentiated by their colour: red currants (the most common), black currants (more acidic than red) and white or pink currants (the less cultivated variety).
