Pomegranate
The pomegranate is the fruit of the pomegranate shrub, a deciduous fruit shrub from the Punicoideae family. It is a globular berry with a hard peel and its inside is subdivided into several lobes. Its pulp is red, sweet, fleshy and juicy. It contains numerous seeds inside which are coated in sarcotesta and separated by membrane walls.
