Persimmon

Persimmon is the berry from a tropical tree from the Ebenaceae family of the same name. This fruit has a smooth, shiny and orange skin, although with some varieties the colour ranges from red to yellow.

The flavour of the persimmon varies depending on its ripeness: while the pulp of the unripened fruit has a pungent taste, when the fruit is ripe it takes on a very sweet and smooth flavour.
