Peas
Although peas are believed to be a vegetable, they are in fact a legume, just like chickpeas or lentils. The pea is the seed of the Pisum Sativum, a climbing plant belonging to the legume family.
This plant, after flowering, produces elongated green pods (similar to beans) which contain the seeds inside.

Some benefits you didn't know about taking peas
Peas are a legume with a high-water content and do not contain lipids. In addition, they are a source of group A vitamins, group C vitamins, folates, niacin, and minerals, of which phosphorus and potassium are the most important, the latter in greater quantities.
They also contain amino acids such as leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, arginine, and alanine. Thanks to their high vegetable protein content, peas can enrich our diet in terms of nutritional quality and are particularly useful for vegans or vegetarians looking to increase their protein intake.
