Loquat is the fruit obtained from the tree of the same name, belonging to the Rosaceae family. This fruit is oval shaped and has a thin, hard skin which is orange in colour.
Its pulp is fleshy, sweet and somewhat acidic, although it tastes different depending on the variety. Inside, it contains several large brown seeds.
