Horse mackerel

Horse mackerel, also known as jack mackerel and scad, is an oily saltwater fish belonging to the Carangidae family. It has an elongated and compact greenish-blue body, with white or silver tones, and a light-coloured belly.

Its eyes and mouth are very large in relation to the size of its head. The horse mackerel's main characteristic is that it has two dorsal fins of differing size and radius which house poisonous stingers.
