Blue whiting

Blue whiting is a white fish belonging to the Gadidae family. It is a small species with large bulging eyes. Its body is thin, and its skin colouration is bluish-grey on the back, fading to a whiter colour on its belly.

Blue whiting has three widely spaced dorsal fins and two anal fins. Its flesh is soft, white, fine and very tasty.

Blue whiting, being a white fish, has a high protein content and very little fat, although its omega-3 content is quite high compared to other species.
