Avocado
Avocado is the fruit obtained from the avocado tree, belonging to the Lauraceae family. This fruit has a thick and hard green skin, although the shade can change depending on the variety. The pulp of the avocado is oily and a cream or yellowish-green colour, with a very mild flavour.
Inside, it contains one large, round seed which is light brown in colour and can make up half of the size of the fruit.

Avocados are rich in potassium and, to a lesser extent, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
