Atlantic bonito

The Atlantic bonito is an oily fish that belongs to the Scombridae family . This fish has great musculature and is characterised by its spindle-shaped body. Its skin is a very shiny dark blue, but its sides and belly are whiter.

The bonito has two dorsal fins, an anal fin (with several smaller fins) and a pair of pectoral fins that occupy a large part of its body and constitute one of its most characteristic features.
