How to clean the oven

The latest generation of appliances increasingly include self-cleaning programmes that make them easier to use. But these are not always enough; in this article we show you some tricks on how to easily clean an electric oven.

Using liquid soap to clean the oven is one of the easiest ways to do this:

• Put 250 ml of water with liquid soap on the baking tray.

• Close and turn the oven on at 60ºC with top and bottom heat for 1 hour.

• Turn off and let the oven cool down.

• Clean with a sponge.

How to clean a very dirty electric oven

If the oven is very dirty, we recommend you use Limpiahornos Consum, a product that, given its high degreasing power, will be very useful. All you need is plastic gloves, a container with water, a soft sponge and kitchen paper.

Depending on the degree of grease, the process is different. For a normal degree of grease, the procedure is as follows:

Spray the degreaser directly onto the surface and close the oven for about 15 minutes.

The next step is to remove it with the wet sponge, in this way you will also remove any existing residues.

Finally, use kitchen paper to rinse and dry the surface of the oven.

If the grease is embedded you must follow the same procedure as above, but the wait, after applying the product inside the oven, should be longer, from one to two hours of waiting, depending on the degree of dirt.

Finally, and in case you have to cope with rebellious incrustations, it is advisable to heat the oven previously.

Heat the oven to a maximum temperature of 50º for a period of 15 to 30 minutes, turning it off once this time has elapsed.

Spray the degreaser on the warm surface and close the oven for 15 minutes to allow the product to work.
