Consum, as a social economy company, always puts people at the center of its decisions, since excellence in customer service involves having the best professionals and offering them the best working conditions.

During 2021 Consum has created 826 new jobs, reaching a workforce of 18,212 workers, of which 73% are women. This has been achieved thanks to the successive Equality Plans promoted by the Cooperative and which make it part of the Network of Companies with the Equality in Business Distinction of the Ministry of Equality. In addition, 94% of the Cooperative’s workforce enjoys the status of permanent member or member in a trial period, thus maintaining its policy of creating stable and quality employment.

On the other hand, Consum is the only company in the sector with the Family-Responsible Company Certificate since 2007. For this reason, following this premise, the Cooperative has invested 28.3 million euros in conciliation, which represents 1,556 euros per employee. In addition, it has obtained the Top Employers certificate for the ninth consecutive year, certifying it as one of the best companies to work for in Spain.
